FAQ
ARE YOU CERTIFIED BY THE CAA?
Yes, we are fully certified by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to conduct commercial drone operations in the UK. Our pilots hold the necessary qualifications, including a GVC (General Visual Line of Sight Certificate) or A2 Certificate of Competency (A2 CofC), depending on the type of drone and the category of operation.
In addition, we have obtained the required Operational Authorisation from the CAA, allowing us to fly in more complex environments, such as built-up areas or near uninvolved people, where permitted under regulations.
Our certification ensures that we operate safely, legally, and in compliance with all aviation laws. If you require proof of our certification or further details about our qualifications, we’re happy to provide documentation upon request.
WHAT WEATHER CAN YOU FLY IN?
For safe and high-quality drone filming, we require suitable weather conditions. We can fly in light winds, but strong gusts, heavy rain, or snow can affect both flight safety and footage quality. Generally, we operate in winds of up to 20 mph and avoid flying in poor visibility or extreme temperatures. If the weather is unsuitable on the scheduled shoot day, we’ll work with you to reschedule at no additional cost where possible.
DO YOU COLOUR GRADE THE FOOTAGE?
Yes, we offer colour grading as part of our post-production process to enhance the visual quality of the footage. This ensures that colours are balanced, shadows and highlights are refined, and the footage has a cinematic look. If you have a specific style or colour profile in mind, let us know, and we’ll tailor the grading to match your vision. If you prefer ungraded raw footage, we can provide that too.
HOW WILL YOU SEND ME THE EDITED FILES?
Once your footage is edited and finalised, we will deliver it via a secure online transfer service such as WeTransfer, Google Drive, or Dropbox. This allows you to download the files easily in full resolution. If you require delivery on a physical device, such as a USB stick or hard drive, we can arrange that upon request (additional charges may apply).
ARE YOU INSURED?
Yes, we are fully insured for commercial drone operations. This includes public liability insurance to cover any potential risks while flying. Our coverage meets all legal requirements for drone filming, ensuring peace of mind for both us and our clients. If you need specific insurance details or proof of coverage, we’re happy to provide documentation upon request.
